For the customers who use Cloud App Security for the first time, Cloud App Security allows you to choose a serving site, that is, the geographical location where you want your Cloud App Security service data to be located, regardless of the registration key or activation code you have purchased.
Customers from the Licensing Management Platform cannot select a serving site.
Cloud App Security has launched eight sites around the globe and hosts its service data in Microsoft Azure's data centers. For more information on each Cloud App Security site and the corresponding Azure data center, see Data Center Geography.
You cannot modify the serving site setting after the initial configuration completes. Your Cloud App Security service data will always stay within your selected site and cannot replicated by other sites for data privacy and sovereign considerations.
The steps outlined below detail how to select a Cloud App Security serving site from the Customer Licensing Portal during the first-time use. This also applies when you log on from the Cloud App Security management console page.
