Users with scan privileges have greater control over how files on their computers get scanned. Scan privileges allow users or the Security Agent to perform the following tasks:
Users can configure Manual Scan, Scheduled Scan, and Real-time Scan settings. For details, see Scan Type Privileges.

Users enable scanning of POP3 email messages for virus/malware. For details, see Mail Scan Privileges and Other Settings.
