Trend Micro may release a new version of the Enforcement Agent to introduce or enhance features. Upgrade to the newest version using an upgrade package.

Important:

If your current Enforcement Agent version is earlier than 3.4.0.3158, you must first uninstall the Enforcement Agent before the upgrade.

  1. Uninstall the current Enforcement Agent if its version is earlier than 3.4.0.3158.

For information on uninstalling the Enforcement Agent, see Enforcement Agent Uninstallation.

  2. Download the upgrade package from the management console, in Administration > SERVICE DEPLOYMENT > Enforcement Agent.

For information on customizing settings for the upgrade package, see Enforcement Agent Settings and Downloads.

The upgrade package has the same file name and file type as the installation package. For details about the file names and types, see Enforcement Agent Deployment.

  3. Deploy the upgrade package to computers using any of the deployment methods you used to install the agent.
    Note:

If you originally deployed the Enforcement Agent using Active Directory GPO and you placed the upgrade package in a location other than the original location, update the GPO to reflect the new location.

  4. After upgrading the Enforcement Agent on Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, or Windows Server 2022, restart the computer to apply the upgrade.
